Operations Supervisor
Join Grifols Shared Services North America, Inc. as an Operations Supervisor in Savannah, GA (White Bluff Rd-BIO). In this key role, you will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the plasma center, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain the ability to perform any and all tasks within the plasma center; fulfil the role of production employee and supervise donor flow.
Learn and maintain thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, FDA‑approved SOP Manual, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and internal company procedures.
Supervise donor selection, plasma collection, and all manufacturing records to maintain the highest production standards in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Attend all required training sessions, staff meetings, and other company events.
Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of necessary records.
Under guidance of the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager, assure the facility is maintained in a neat and clean condition and all equipment is kept in good working order.
Submit timely and accurate reports as required by the Center Manager and/or the Assistant Manager.
Assist in the control of center donor funds as determined by the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
Assist in the training of new employees and retraining of current employees.
Maintain active communication with other service areas to ensure accurate documentation and quality.
Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction with the center to support long‑term donation.
Report all unsafe situations or conditions to area lead, supervisor, or manager.
May be trained to repair plasma center equipment.
Assist the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager in any task necessary in pursuit of company objectives.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED. Certified as a Phlebotomist, Donor Processor, Plasma Processor, and Designated Trainer.
Typical experience: 4 years of related experience performing phlebotomy, donor processing, and plasma processing duties with demonstrated proficiency in handling difficult situations.
Occupational Demands Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms. Work includes exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment, extreme cold below 32°F while performing functions in plasma freezers, and regular standing for 4 to 6 hours per day. The position requires bending, twisting, frequent hand movement, precise coordinated movements of fingers, and light lifting up to 15 lbs. with a maximum lift of 50 lbs. Hearing acuity and color perception are essential, and vision must be correctable to 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other. The role may involve communication and independent work under guidance of written or oral instructions.
