Dover Precision Components is hiring a Supply Chain Manager for our Cook Compression brand. This role is based at our Jeffersonville, Indiana manufacturing facility.

What you’ll do

Develop and manage a cross‑functional, fully integrated planning process that incorporates capacity planning, scheduling, inventory, raw materials, and associated cost elements. \ Supervise onsite employees in procurement, planning, and shipping & receiving.

Perform analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts, and historical material usage to develop and execute accurate production plans.

Coordinate with cross‑functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for production planning to support customer demand.

Leverage metrics and other tools to drive departmental performance.

Establish and implement methods and best practices that support inventory forecasting, procurement and material control.

Lead by example and motivate people to create a challenging, empowering, and collaborative working environment.

Implement and manage an inventory control system that provides reporting capabilities, minimizes overall inventory value, and ensures accuracy of cycle counts.

Proactively identify and address any issues with the production plan by establishing and monitoring the schedule and coordinating with quality, engineering and production operations to ensure on‑time delivery targets.

Develop and execute a sourcing strategy to meet the location’s growth and sourcing requirements.

Identify, develop and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers to meet established cost, quality and delivery targets.

Establish, implement and manage a system to evaluate, monitor and report supplier scorecard performance and foster continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.

Adhere to and comply with all Dover Corporate, Dover Precision Components, and plant policies.

Engage in lean manufacturing principles and techniques, including housekeeping and general organization of work area.

What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, supply chain, or similar preferred. In lieu of degree, commensurate work experience considered.

5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with procurement, inventory, planning, and ERP system experience.

Supervisory experience required.

Experience in Lean, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma or similar environment.

Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality system requirements.

Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams.

Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with demonstrated success in troubleshooting and providing solutions.

Preferred

APICS certification.

Syteline ERP experience.
