Security Clearance: None/Not Required As a Product Manager within Fire Protection Systems linear detection product line, you will play a pivotal role in expanding margins through cost and yield improvement initiatives, developing new technology and driving new development programs. You will lead your PMTs performance and strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for the financial performance and execution in line with internal and external requirements. Challenge your leadership skills at the head of an Aerospace product line that has grown and innovated over a service history of 75+ years with a current delivery volume of 120,000 units per year, supporting customer installations spanning from general aviation aircraft to the Airbus A380 and nearly every platform in between.

What You Will Do

Develop Product Line Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy aligned with business objectives and market trends.

Lead Program Management Teams: Lead cross-functional teams of various sizes in support of customer deliveries, supplier management, quality responses, proposals, and NPI/technology programs. Utilize operational & leadership experience to drive improvement into a wide variety of audiences.

Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with program managers and Collins partners, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to drive growth.

New Business Development: Support new business opportunities including identifying potential product opportunities, conducting cost/yield analyses and engineering estimates to support development of proposals.

SIOP Planning: Analyze demand and supply data to meet our customers' needs while optimizing product line profitability in support of strategic sales plans to achieve targets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, quality, manufacturing engineering, operations, SIOP and customer service to ensure seamless execution of OEM and aftermarket programs and initiatives.

Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and optimize business processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

Self-motivated, with a demonstrated track record of driving significant improvements (i.e. Quality, Delivery, yield, Capacity, Costs)

Excellent problem solving abilities in the face of numerous and typically undefined issues, across a wide variety of functions, where information is difficult to obtain.

Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in support of complex teams with matrixed responsibilities.

Effectively create and share a vision across a broad team.

Excellence in communication and team building skills to all levels including customers and executives.

Qualifications We Prefer

University degree in a technical field

SAP business system experience

Leadership of people and/or projects in the Aerospace Industry

Experience with fire protection systems or related products

Industry certifications such as CORE/Six Sigma/LEAN/Project Management/PE

Advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
