Roles We are seeking an experienced
MEP Inspector
to support a federal construction project involving the construction of a new storage module, integration of advanced mechanical and electrical systems into an existing facility, and upgrades to electrical switchgear infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work meets federal standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations to ensure compliance with federal codes, project drawings, and technical specifications
Monitor construction of a new storage module, verifying proper installation of integrated MEP systems
Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, performing specialized field inspection for designated discipline as well as other related disciplines
Inspects work at the site(s) for contract and code compliance, proficient with construction management software like E-Builder
Recommend approvals or rejections of materials and workmanship as appropriate; monitor labor and safety requirements; complete written inspection reports, records of defects and omissions; and similar activities
Oversee integration of new mechanical and electrical systems with existing facility infrastructure, ensuring seamless and compliant tie‑ins
Inspect electrical switchgear upgrades for safety, quality, and adherence to federal standards
Document deficiencies, issue corrective actions, and verify resolution
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and federal stakeholders to maintain alignment on quality expectations
Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain accurate project records
Ensure all work follows OSHA, federal, and project‑specific safety requirements
Required Qualifications
15+ years of experience in MEP inspection or related construction oversight
OSHA 30 certification
USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification
Strong knowledge of federal construction standards, including mechanical, electrical, and life‑safety systems
Experience inspecting system tie‑ins, switchgear upgrades, and complex MEP installations
Excellent documentation, communication, and coordination skills
