Come lead with us at Houston Methodist. As a Registered Nurse (RN) II, you will be a licensed staff nurse at the Competent to Proficient stage of Benner's model of clinical practice. You will provide professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conduct nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatment, educate patients, and maintain medical records. You will communicate and collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional health‑care team to facilitate compassionate, efficient, high‑quality care and desired treatment outcomes. You will demonstrate clinical competence in technology use, medication administration, procedures, and emergency management. You will act as a patient and family advocate, monitor patient rights, and assume leadership roles including unit and shared governance initiatives, charge nurse or preceptor roles, and partnership with management on service line or hospital‑wide initiatives.
