The Hospital Practice Specialist supports the daily operations of the Hospital Medicine program. In this vital role, you’ll coordinate with providers, hospital leaders, and the field team to ensure operational excellence, accurate documentation and a seamless care experience.

Key Responsibilities At a Glance

Coordinate daily practice operations to support provider efficiency and workflow.

Serve as the on-site liaison between SCP Health, hospital leadership, and interdisciplinary teams.

Ensure accurate documentation and billing through chart reviews and compliance support.

Support provider onboarding and credentialing, including training and orientation.

Manage schedules and census tracking, ensuring timely communication across teams.

Facilitate communication with community PCPs and specialists for discharge follow-up and continuity of care.

Assist with reporting and performance tracking in partnership with Medical Directors and field leaders.

Support telemedicine, patient experience, and post-discharge engagement initiatives.

Participate in process improvement efforts to enhance satisfaction and operational performance.

What You Bring – Qualifications & Experience

High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in hospital operations, practice management, or healthcare administration.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); comfortable navigating EMRs and hospital systems.

Familiarity with provider scheduling, credentialing, billing workflows, and clinical documentation standards.

Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with providers, hospital leadership, and interdisciplinary teams.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of ICD-10/CPT coding and healthcare compliance is a plus.
