Medical Laboratory Scientist
to join our team! Will consider either MLS or MLT.
Job Description The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs chemical, bacteriological, serological, hematological, and microscopic procedures in the Central Clinical Laboratory requiring independent judgment and interpretation. All individuals in this classification meet the qualifications for high complexity testing as defined by CLIA 88.
Hours Full‑time or 0.8 FTE, 64 hours every pay period, varied shifts.
Experience / Qualifications
Knowledge of laboratory standards and practices acquired through completion of an associate or bachelor's degree in laboratory science.
Previous applicable experience beneficial.
Possesses active Medical Technology (MT‑ASCP), Medical Lab Technician (MLT‑ASCP) or CLS‑NCA certification or attains within 6 months of hire.
Medical Tech or Medical Lab Scientist credential; source: ASCP Board of Certification.
