Edison Eating Disorder and Mental Health Services provides specialized care to individuals struggling with eating disorders and other mental health challenges. Located in West Des Moines, we offer both on-site services, and virtual support throughout Iowa.
Mission
Edison Esting Disorder and Mental Health Services providers specialized, evidence-based treatment thar helps individuals and families accross Iowa break cycles of disordered eating and reclaim lasting health, freedom, and self-worth. Through compassionare, collaborative care - both in person and online- we support the whole person and empower lasting recovery.
Role Description
We are seeking a
therapist interested in working eith eating disorders, with priority given to applicants with an interest in children and teens . Existing knowledge or work history with eating disorders is preferred but not required. Both provisional and fully licensed providers can apply. This role can be part or full time, with flexible hours. Both 1099 and W-2 options are available.
Qualifications
Provisional or fully licensed masters level therapist or psychologist (LMSW, tLMHC, LISW, LMHC, PsyD, PhD or similar).
Work-related experience (or internship experience) in private practice or a clinical setting, individual, family and group therapy as well as psychosocial assessment preferred.
Thorough knowledge of mental health diagnosis, and a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches, with specific interest in eating disorder treatment.
Willingness and interest in working with children for some or all of the caseload.
Timely completion of notes and documentation.
1099 and W-2 options available.
Supervision towards full licensure and eating disorder specialization training provided.
Supervision towards certified eating disorder specialist designation.
Short term disability, life insurance, and CEU stipend included in benefits package.
Payment based on services rendered.

Kim Curran, LISW, CEDS-C, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and an IAEDP Approved Supervisor specializing in eating disorder treatment and related mental health concerns. She has a over decade of clinical experience in the field working in both outpatient settings and higher levels of care.
