Job Responsibilities
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and keep the circulating nurse informed throughout a procedure.
Maintain high standards and quality in facilitating cost savings and containment; assemble all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to the procedure.
Support customer and employee satisfaction activities; maintain good relationships with physicians, management, other departments, and staff; respond to complaints in a timely manner.
Monitor aseptic technique of the entire surgical team and take immediate corrective action for any breaks in technique.
Identify and report environmental concerns to management and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate, High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
Technical/Vocational School graduate
Basic Life Support – CPR Certificate (BLS)
Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI)
State Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – ETS Accredited Issuing Body
Technician in Surgery – Certified (NTSC) – ETS Accredited Issuing Body
Pay Range $24.45 – $45.46 per hour
