Physical Therapist – Outpatient Pediatric - Raceland/Houma (Bayou/River Region)
We are looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide outpatient pediatric care in the Bayou/River Region. This role functions autonomously to deliver physical therapy treatment, evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, assess progress, and monitor outcomes. The therapist ensures patient needs are met through access to care, patient experience, and quality of care metrics, and assists in program development to meet community needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
Current physical therapy license in the state of practice, or eligibility for licensure by examination, or reciprocity from another state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency in computers, software, and web-based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information clearly to various levels.
Excellent judgment and decision-making skills for dealing with diverse patients and diagnoses.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to adapt to fluctuating schedules based on patient demand.
Job Duties
Performs evaluations and provides treatment programs to facilitate patient-specific goals.
Assesses the patient’s response to treatment and recommends treatment plan changes as appropriate.
Maintains patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures.
Attains established productivity levels set by administration, including access to care, patient experience, and quality metrics.
Assists in program development and enhancement to meet patient and community needs.
Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy, method of introduction, and communication style.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
