GENERAL SUMMARY
The Radiation Oncology Physician provides comprehensive radiation therapy services to patients within a hospital-based community Radiation Oncology Center. The physician is responsible for evaluating, planning, and managing radiation treatment for cancer patients using advanced technology and modalities. This position functions as a solo practitioner supported by a dedicated care team and state-of-the-art equipment to deliver exceptional, compassionate cancer care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide consultation, simulation, planning, and delivery of radiation therapy for patients requiring treatment.
Utilize a full range of treatment modalities, including IMRT, SBRT, SRS, 3D, and 2D external beam therapy.
Oversee all aspects of radiation therapy, ensuring accurate dose delivery and patient safety.
Collaborate with a full-time physicist, APRN, RN, and other multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize treatment outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation using ARIA EMR.
Participate in rotating call coverage shared with the APRN.
Manage an average of 15–20 patients per day while maintaining high standards of quality and compassion.
Promote continuous quality improvement and compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.
Engage in patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and care plans.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Proficiency in radiation treatment planning and delivery techniques, including IMRT, SBRT, SRS, and 3D/2D external beam therapy.
Ability to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary care team effectively.
Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient education skills.
Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Experience practicing in a community or hospital-based oncology setting.
Familiarity with VARIAN TrueBeam, Philips CT Simulator, and ARIA EMR systems.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.
Board Certification (or eligibility) in Radiation Oncology by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
New graduates and experienced Radiation Oncologists are welcome to apply.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Two or more years of post-residency experience in a hospital-based or community oncology program.
REQUIRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
Current and unrestricted license (or eligibility) to practice medicine in the State of Kansas.
Board Certification (or Board Eligibility) in Radiation Oncology by the ACR.
