Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Tuesday - Friday
Schedule: Full-Time | Every Other Weekend
Status: Non-Exempt

Role Overview As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Coordinator, you will lead and coordinate the daily operations of the laboratory to ensure the highest quality and accuracy in testing. Using independent judgment, you’ll oversee all aspects of the lab process—from scheduling and workflow management to quality assurance and compliance—ensuring results are accurate, reliable, and timely.
This role serves as a key resource and mentor for the laboratory team, providing education, training, and competency evaluations while fostering a culture of excellence. The coordinator also supports laboratory management with staffing, data analysis, and regulatory compliance initiatives, ensuring all standards and best practices are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee daily laboratory operations, including scheduling and workflow management.
Prioritize, delegate, and supervise all phases of the laboratory testing process.
Ensure adherence to laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor quality assurance and quality management programs, addressing any deviations.
Oversee proficiency testing and compliance with all accrediting agencies.
Provide training, mentorship, and competency assessments for laboratory team members.
Support education and professional development initiatives for laboratory staff.
Collect and analyze data to support laboratory goals and process improvements.
Assist with management duties during supervisor or manager absences.
Qualifications Certification & Licensure
Required: State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
Education
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Biological or Clinical Science-related field
Experience
Clinical laboratory experience required
