Piedmont Pulmonary and Sleep – Sleep Medicine Advanced Practice Provider – Outpatient – Newnan
Piedmont Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Physician Assistant to join the Piedmont Pulmonary and Sleep office in Newnan. This is a full-time outpatient position focusing on sleep medicine patients with the occasional pulmonary patient.
Key Responsibilities:
Functions as an independent provider in a busy outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine office with MDs available to assist in evaluating complex patients as needed.
Takes patient histories, conducts physical examinations, writes progress notes, and develops appropriate treatment plans.
Orders and interprets laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures including Home Sleep Tests, In-lab Polysomnography, Chest X-rays, Chest CTs, and Pulmonary Function testing. Explain the necessity, nature, and results of the scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedure(s) to the patient.
Reviews recent PAP usage with the patient via compliance reports and troubleshoots any barriers to nightly PAP use.

Minimum Requirements:
PA: Graduate of a Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board
