Position Purpose At
Johnson Memorial Hospital , the Registered Nurses in the Geriatric Wellness unit specialize in mental health care for elderly patients experiencing psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease. This role involves direct patient care, emotional support, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and compassionate treatment.

Shift 12 Hour Day Shift
What You Will Do
Conduct mental health assessments and monitor psychiatric symptoms in elderly patients.
Work closely with physicians, psychiatrists, social workers, and therapy staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
Valid RN License in Connecticut.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
One or more years of Psychiatric or Geriatric experience in an acute inpatient setting.
BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Position Highlights
Full Time: 36 hrs/week – Day Shift.
Rotating Every second Weekend/Holiday.
