Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate and comprehensive patient care across various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills with a strong emphasis on
phlebotomy experience , the ability to work with diverse patient populations, and proficiency in medical documentation and EMR/EHR systems. This role involves performing assessments, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The LPN will work in an office based setting supporting patients while they are on their fertility journey. This is a part time position but we will consider full time for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories
Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders
Perform sterile procedures in accordance with best practices
Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection and laboratory processing
Document all patient interactions thoroughly using EMR/EHR systems
Provide wound care
Educate patients and families on health management strategies including nutrition, and medication adherence
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Proven experience with diverse clinical environments
Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and documentation standards compliant with HIPAA regulations
Experience with EMR/EHR systems
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology related to medication administration
Ability to perform complex procedures including phlebotomy, venipuncture, and sterile techniques
Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to work effectively with people of all ages
Critical thinking skills
Working knowledge of fertility treatment a plus but not required.
