Position Summary As an RN OR Coordinator, you will help support our robotic and general operating room service lines by coordinating patient care, reviewing histories, and ensuring high‑quality nursing service. You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care for patients in accordance with professional nursing standards.
Core Functions
Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and cultural needs; review history and diagnostics and report abnormal results to the appropriate physician.
Formulate a plan of care, including discharge planning, based on assessment data and team input; set realistic, measurable goals.
Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, delegation, and supervision of the health‑care team while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate patient response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed; evaluate progress towards goals.
Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record, ensuring legibility and timeliness.
Participate in evidence‑based practice and research; contribute to unit shared leadership and staff orientation.
Promote quality improvement and participate in professional organizations to better patient outcomes.
In some roles, supervise staff and workflow of the department.
Interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts to coordinate care and provide spiritual support when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid RN license (or temporary/interim/provisional license) in Arizona; BLS certification required.
Minimum of one year acute‑care experience in a hospital setting.
Demonstrated competency through annual validations.
For travel or registry positions, experience in a physician practice or other acute‑care setting within the past 12 months.
Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance if a Home Health setting is involved.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., RN-BC, RN-OBGYN) preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
