Job Summary And Qualifications To increase profitability in Surgical Services by better use of our IT and related systems, the OR Clinical Systems Analyst assists the OR staff in the optimal use of computer system applications. This includes coordinating integration of OR systems with internal and external systems, and serving as a liaison to other departments such as Finance, Supply Chain, Admitting, Infection Control, Risk Management, IT&S, and HIMS. Responsibilities include installation, planning, coordinating and educating about system applications, upgrades, data integrity audits, policy reviews, and other duties as requested.
What you will do
Create and maintain all ORM dictionaries, forms, queries and responses related to OR documentation and billing, ensuring the integrity of the OR module in both test and live for surgical or procedural documentation/scheduling.
Produce cost reports and revenue reports for end‑of‑month reporting.
Create and maintain teaching materials for surgical and/or procedural employees (e.g., Same Day, OR, PACU, Endo).
Create and/or maintain surgical menus for all perioperative staff.
Create and/or maintain standard HCA Meditech ORM CDS screens.
Train new employees on the use of the OR module and inform staff and management of changes.
Support hospital staff and coordinate with other departments’ needs as they interface with OR/PACU nursing/scheduling documentation (e.g., Admitting, Revenue Integrity, Supply Chain).
Work with IT & S staff to coordinate the installation of computer systems for OR documentation in new or reorganized departments; assist Information Services with hardware issues and troubleshooting.
Create NPR and department reports to provide statistics/data for Administration, QI/QM, Finance, Surgical Service, Special Projects.
Participate with appropriate OR Director/Manager and Management Engineer in the PI/QI program for Surgical Services departments and attend market/Corporate meetings regarding the OR module.
Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Registered Nurse (RN).
High School Graduate / GED.
