The Neuroscience Sales Representative is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales expectations in assigned territories, understanding customer needs, and communicating Intra‑Cellular’s vision of innovative treatments. Responsibilities include product knowledge development, strategic and tactical planning, resource allocation, and compliant sales activities.
Job Responsibilities
Drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts are met or exceeded within assigned territory.
Develop superior product and disease state knowledge and educate healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety.
Use assigned budgets efficiently to achieve territory objectives, customizing discussions based on customer needs.
Operate independently to drive sales performance and meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations.
Maintain current understanding of local market and key influencers, sharing information with internal stakeholders.
Input into resource allocation decisions across customers and regions.
Provide special education to healthcare providers through appropriate programs within ethical guidelines.
Collaborate with District Manager and stakeholders to develop a local business plan that capitalizes on formulary approvals and other opportunities.
Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on best practices.
Maintain timely and accurate administrative records of work hours, sales calls, customer objectives, and reporting.
Meet or exceed all NSR deliverables and complete job-related training within required timelines.
Adapt to evolving environments and virtual platforms, analyzing data/metrics to assess progress and identify opportunities.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record.
1+ years of documented success in B2B sales, preferably in pharmaceuticals, biologics, or medical devices.
Experience in antipsychotic and/or bipolar sales is a plus.
Strong desire to improve the lives of patients and caregivers, demonstrating patient‑centricity.
High integrity and adherence to the Company’s Compliance policies.
Self‑motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial mindset, excellent decision‑making judgment, and strong collaboration skills.
Proven success in adapting to evolving environments, such as during Covid‑19.
Ability to operate in a changing telemedicine/virtual environment.
Analytical skills to assess performance and identify opportunities.
Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills.
Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information.
Work hours may include meetings outside normal working hours; some overnight travel may be required.
Domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings is expected on a periodic basis.
Must perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Salary Range $79,000 – $130,000
