Registered Nurse (RN) – GI LAB – Full Time
Position located at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (University). Provides comprehensive nursing care within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Provide patient and family education on care plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
Administer medications safely and use best practices in medication management.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated, high-quality patient care.
Delegate tasks to team members for collaborative care delivery.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (RN) required.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Minimum 6 months RN experience; preferred >1 year in similar clinical setting.
Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act and scope of practice for RN.
Strong critical thinking and ability to develop, implement, and support individualized care plans.
Familiarity with healthcare technologies such as barcode scanning, electronic health records.
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification; RN license in Tennessee required; preferred clinical specialty certification.
Physical Demands
Climbing, pushing, standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motions.
Must have good balance, coordination, and visual acuity.
Capacity to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally; up to 25 lbs. frequently.
Frequent invasive and non-invasive contact; exposure to body fluids and hazardous materials.
Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations.
