Medical Care Coordinator

who provides outstanding care with a Can-Do Attitude and Caring Heart, delivering a seamless and memorable customer service experience with every interaction. Responsibilities include ensuring efficient and timely scheduling of patients; acquiring and recording relevant medical history; creating a pleasant experience for patients in our center; and managing timely delivery of results. In this position you will: Greet patients and answer telephones promptly and caringly, forming friendly, warm connections with each person. Schedule incoming requisitions efficiently, anticipating and solving problems before they occur. Verify patients’ demographics and coordinate verification of insurance benefits, setting clear expectations with internal team members and patients alike. Diligently follow up with referring physicians about necessary medical information required for scheduled procedures. Listen deeply and go the extra mile to create win-win solutions with all customer interactions. Register and verify patient information in our EMR, paying close attention to details. Welcome, check-in and check-out all patients. Maintain/organize/scan patient charts into our EMR. Rapidly respond to and fulfill all PET/CT reports and image copy requests. File, copy and fax as needed. Operate within the parameters of our Corporate Compliance & HIPAA Compliance Programs. Other duties deemed appropriate and necessary by your direct supervisor. Education and Requirements

Must pass AHCA Level 2 screening - https://info.flclearinghouse.com On-boarded staff must be approved for EPIC access by MHS Must have flexibility to travel between all PIISF Centers and be willing to work at any one for extended periods Skills and abilities

Can-do attitude with a willingness to work in a team environment Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Computer literacy, particularly with EMR programs and Microsoft Office Reliability Excellent organizational and time management skills Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus What we offer
