Senior Advice and Planning Analyst Truist – Richmond, VA

Salary Range: $40,000 - $120,000

About The Role Supports the Wealth relationship team in creating and delivering advanced planning advice to current and prospective clients, primarily Ultra‑High Net Worth (UHNW) clients. Engages in activities that enhance the overall planning group, including knowledge sharing, process improvement, and service excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide complex, actionable solutions for UHNW client needs, including advanced estate, legacy, and tax planning.

Perform complex review, analysis, and modeling of estate plans and related strategies.

Deliver detailed financial statements and custom analyses to inform client decisions.

Engage proactively with team and clients to assess scope and deliver customized solutions.

Execute the financial planning process efficiently, delivering recommendations and monitoring implementation.

Support new business and client retention initiatives through strategy sessions and presentations.

Stay current on advanced estate, tax, and planning trends; maintain professional credentials.

Lead knowledge sharing and tool development initiatives within the advisory group.

Provide coaching and development for teammates within the advice and planning group.

Adhere to Truist’s Code of Ethics and risk management culture, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

Required Qualifications

Eight years of client advisory experience with high or ultra‑high net worth families, including prior exclusive experience in the UHNW or family office setting.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and at least one advanced qualification (JD, LLM, MS in Taxation, MSFS, ChFC, CFP, CPA, CFA, or equivalent).

Superior technical knowledge of financial planning issues for High and Ultra‑High Net Worth segments.

Track record of generating new wealth‑management revenue.

Team‑player with ability to work independently.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving abilities.

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial planning software.

Capacity to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience with group facilitation, presentations, and public speaking.

Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in accounting, law, tax, or related financial professional field.

Graduate degree in business, financial services, accounting, law, or related discipline.

Five years of exclusive experience in the UHNW or family office setting.

Experience working with Ultra‑High Net Worth clients ($50 MM+).
