Position Behavior Support Program Assistant

– Vacancy CL-103-26,

Location:

Itinerant, Stanislaus County.

Employment Type:

Part Time.

Salary Range:

$22.47 – $27.57 per hour (Pay Range 8, CSEA Classified Regular Salary Schedule; initial placement capped at Step 3 for external applicants).

Work Year:

181 days/year, 5 days/week, 6 hours/day (8:00 AM – 2:30 PM).

Job Summary / Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the Autism Inclusion Teacher, a Behavior Analyst, or other appropriate certified staff, the Assistant will help certified and classified personnel provide or reinforce instruction to individually identified students with severe social, behavioral, and/or communicative deficits. The role supports students exhibiting characteristics associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder or similar conditions, delivering targeted behavior interventions and instructional support.

Requirements / Qualifications

High‑school graduation (or equivalent).

At least 2 years of experience working with students who have Autism or other behavioral/communication/social deficits.

College coursework or equivalent training in social skills, Applied Behavior Analysis, or direct instruction is desirable.

Must be able to provide own transportation; if using a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are required.

Completion of the following before employment (not required at application):

• DOJ fingerprint clearance • TB test clearance • Pre‑employment drug screen

Benefits Health, dental, and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day. Eligibility requires the applicant to be at least 18 years of age.
