POSITION OVERVIEW The Tool Coordinator directs multiple functions and activities related to the procurement and inventory management of tools. The Tool Coordinator develops and manages working relationships with suppliers and internal clients to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery of tools for planned and emergent jobs.

Salary range for this role:

$19 – $25 per hour based on experience

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS & DUTIES

Ensure safety is a priority at all times

Coordinate all tool requirements with the field in a timely and cost‑effective manner

Monitor procurement, transfer, and/or renting of tools from 3rd party suppliers

Perform strategic planning and budgeting to maintain cost‑efficient practices, while ensuring cost effective operations

Conduct training related to new or updated tools

Work effectively with all divisions in assigned Operating Unit

Spend time at job sites to gain hands‑on knowledge and additional training in tools specific to assigned region, as well as across the United States

Perform all inventory management functions including, but not limited to, procurement, issues, returns, receiving, cycle counting, labeling, inspecting, and quality control

Conduct repairs and testing (depending on the level required, may either be performed or managed using a 3rd party supplier)

Conduct data analysis and report development

Visit job sites and suppliers to maintain customer relationships

Monitor and report on the health of a department, division, supplier, etc.

Manage/direct the work of others (Utility Helpers) to assist in the tooling up of trucks, inventory taking and general warehouse management tasks

Work a minimum of 40 hours a week on a regular basis, and weekend/after‑hours work as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a good understanding of tools and mechanical systems

Great communication skills

Ability to multi‑task, and work very well independently, and in a group (team) setting

Must have integrity and dependability

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent

5 Years Industry Experience

Preferred Education and Experience

Secondary education

8 Years Industry Experience
