Located minutes from downtown Minneapolis, MN, The Minikahda Club is much more than a collection of amenities. Founded in 1898, The Minikahda Club is the oldest country club west of the Mississippi and a premier club in the region. The
Facilities Maintenance Associate
will work with the Director of Campus Facilities and help with general maintenance and upkeep of the club.
Essential Duties/Functions
Maintain daily communication with Facilities Director, Housekeeping Supervisor, and Assistant General Manager.
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems including replacing filters, replacing belts and adjusting temperatures with building automation system.
Fix and repair plumbing issues including, repair and replacing faucets, toilet repairs, snaking drains, replacing valves, etc.
Repair and replace electrical items, including changing lightbulbs, repairing light fixtures, resetting breakers, replacing switches etc.
Light carpentry duties include woodwork and trim repair, painting and staining, etc.
Read, monitor, and document boiler and chiller systems.
Perform outdoor duties including snow removal with salting, operation of small engine equipment (leaf/snow blower)
Pool chemical testing and monitoring during summer months.
Opening and closing of exterior buildings for seasonal changes including winterizing.
General repairs of the facilities of club grounds, both exterior and interior.
Other duties as assigned by the business.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General knowledge and operations of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
General knowledge of building maintenance practices and procedures.
Understanding workplace safety standards and regulations (OSHA).
Basic knowledge of building codes and compliance standards.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Record keeping and documentation skills.
Effective time management and task prioritization skills.
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Education and Experience
Previous HVAC, plumbing and electrical experience preferred.
2-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance or related field.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Frequent bending, lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
Licenses and Special Requirements
Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, OSHA) are preferred.
