Position Assistant Operations Manager – Parking Department

Salary Range: $50,000.00 – $57,000.00 per year

Flexible Hours Required – Includes Some Nights and Weekends

Responsibilities

Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.

Engage in the development of property‑level financial and operational goals.

Assist in managing day‑to‑day activities of the assigned location: ensuring appropriate customer interaction, supervising evening closing reports, processing bank deposits, scheduling staff, supervising frontline staff (cashiers, valet attendants, maintenance porters), preparing month‑end reports, auditing cashier shift reports, monitoring time cards, hiring and training staff, reviewing damage claims, disbursing petty cash, and preparing the annual budget.

Courteously assist customers by answering any questions they may have.

Assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment and perform general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.

Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.

Assist with cleanup of debris, water, oil spills, etc.

Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and the major streets, landmarks, and freeways surrounding it.

Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

High School Graduate. Minimum of six months of parking experience preferred.

Availability:

May be required to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends depending on hiring needs.

License Requirement:

Valid state‑issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record.

Oral Communication:

Speaks clearly; listens and clarifies; responds well to questions.

Written Communication:

Writes clearly; interprets written information.

Customer Service:

Strong orientation and positive attitude; responds to requests for service courteously and professionally.

Adaptability:

Adapts to changes in the work environment; handles delays or unexpected events.

Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.

Physical Demands:

Routine tasks include standing, walking, handling cash and equipment; occasionally sitting, climbing, balancing; lifting up to 25 pounds.
