$16.87 to $18.56 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Grant/Valkaria/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and mandatory overtime. Performs entry level service work in the inspection of mosquito breeding areas, application of pesticides and related maintenance work. Requirements
Six (6) months of experience performing manual labor or operating automotive or watercraft which involved keeping simple written records and/or reports. PLUS six (6) months of experience using a personal computer or tablet. Education cannot be substituted for the required experience. Special Requirements
Must possess a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during term of employment. Must possess or obtain, within six (6) months of employment, certification as an Arthropod Control Applicator in accordance with the specifications set forth in Florida Statute 388.361(4). Must be physically capable at all times of properly wearing and utilizing the appropriate respiratory protection. Must be able to work extended hours during peak season, mosquito outbreaks, and fires and/or overtime. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster which may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
