A Day in the Life We are seeking a Logistics Analyst at our Distribution Center who will be responsible for warehouse slotting, distribution center space utilization, product flow optimization, and distribution throughput improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics engineering and warehouse optimization, with a focus on applying machine learning principles to improve slotting strategies and operational efficiency in a fast‑paced distribution framework.
Responsibilities
Support DC space utilization: Implement strategies to optimize the space utilization, efficient slotting of inbound inventory and minimize handling time. Develop methodologies to optimize warehouse slotting strategies, considering multiple variables like product velocity, product size, turnover rates, and storage requirements.
Develop storage and replenishment strategies for all materials in the warehouse.
Use predictive analytics to forecast demand patterns and adjust slotting configurations dynamically.
Utilize warehouse reports, product history and business forecasts to analyze warehouse health and understand how to change slotting strategies to meet changing business needs.
Work with leadership to forecast warehouse capacity and future storage requirements.
Collaborate with inventory clerks to accurately capture and input essential product data into the system.
Partner with slotting SMEs to execute data collection and slotting actions.
Monitor and maintain accuracy of warehouse master data, including material data, slotting data, and bin data.
Engage directly with warehouse operations to perform physical product movements to optimize space and/or pick efficiency.
Support DC throughput improvements: Analyze current throughput metrics and identify opportunities for improvement in receiving, picking, packing and shipping. Work with onsite cross‑functional teams to develop, automate and ideate process improvements aligned with MPS (Medtronic Performance System) objectives (e.g., A3 problem‑solving, Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC methodologies).
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma, Vocational diploma, or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Logistics (or equivalent experience) OR Associate's Degree with 2+ years experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 1+ years experience
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree
Experience in logistics engineering, warehouse operations, or a similar role, with experience in warehouse slotting and machine learning.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI).
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (SAP WMS).
Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
Experience in Optislot or other slotting tools is preferred.
SAP WM Slotting Experience preferred.
Experience with automation and robotics in warehouse environments is preferred.

Benefits & Compensation Salary ranges for U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) locations (USD): $60,800.00 – $91,200.00.
This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
