Position Summary General Atlantic is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Associate to join its Legal and Compliance team. This role reports directly to the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and plays a key role in supporting the firm’s global compliance program.

The Compliance Associate will focus primarily on reviewing marketing and investor-facing materials, supporting compliance policies and procedures in the United States and internationally, and contributing to broader compliance initiatives such as training, testing, and anti-money laundering oversight. The role offers meaningful exposure to regulatory matters and close collaboration with colleagues in New York City, Amsterdam, and Mumbai.

Responsibilities

Support the firm’s global regulatory compliance framework

Review and approve marketing and investor relations materials in line with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies

Monitor and manage cross-border compliance matters related to investor outreach

Oversee political contribution and state lobbying compliance requirements

Draft, update, and maintain compliance policies and procedures

Prepare and support delivery of compliance training materials and track training completion

Assist with onboarding new employees and ensuring completion of compliance-related requirements

Oversee anti-money laundering responsibilities for certain investment products

Support testing, monitoring, and ongoing enhancement of the compliance program

Qualifications

3-5 years of prior work experience in compliance, financial services, or as a paralegal in a law firm

Experience reviewing marketing materials for a registered investment advisory firm or registered broker‑dealer

Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information

Experience with AI preferred

Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment

Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

Collaborative mindset and ability to work well with colleagues at all levels

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
