Job Title
Maintenance Technician I
– Fullton, CA (On-site, Full time)
Overview Howmet Aerospace Inc. (NYSE: HWM) is a leading provider of advanced engineered solutions for aerospace and transportation, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. Responsibilities
Disassemble machines and remove parts for replacement or repair using cranes, hoists, chain falls, hand tools, and jacks.
Examine machine parts to identify defects and recommend repair needs.
Replace, fix, or realign parts in line with production specifications.
Reassemble machine parts after maintenance and repair.
Assist other maintenance team members to meet department needs and serve as a resource to production, engineering, and other plant personnel.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Show outstanding learning ability and grasp of machine fundamentals.
Demonstrate mastery in troubleshooting hydraulic systems by using deductive reasoning and schematics.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, apprenticeship, or equivalent preference.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Electrical controls awareness is a plus.
Knowledge of machine mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, blueprint reading, and operating machine tools used to manufacture, modify, or repair components. Welding and fabrication knowledge is a plus.
Experience and knowledge in maintaining and repairing injection presses.
Three or more years of prior manufacturing experience.
Basic Qualifications
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Fluency in English (written and oral).
Ability to effectively work and communicate as part of a cell team.
Legal authorization to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility required at hire. Visa sponsorship not available.
This position involves access to export‑controlled items and requires lawful access.
Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Basic safety precautions will reduce injury risk. The role involves light to moderate physical activity, including walking, sitting, standing, and occasional lifting.
