Specific Requirements
At Inter‑Con we take pride in providing customized security solutions. To us that means the right officer in the right place and at the right time. As an Unarmed Security Officer you will be part of a highly trained security team supporting critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues, and personal protective services. You will be trained in safe weapons handling and marksmanship by our team of highly qualified firearms instructors. This position helps support operations in the Security Control Center and includes monitoring life/safety events (active crimes, fires, hazards, threats toward PG&E). You will use tools such as NC4, LiveSafe, and social media to find information and communicate it as necessary. Reporting will be completed daily, weekly, and for larger security events when the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is activated. CLS operators must remain flexible and able to quickly modify work habits appropriately when changes are implemented.
Qualifications Preferred candidates are generally identified from the internal pool of successful operators.
Minimum qualifications include at least one or more of the following:
Two (2) years of security operation center experience.
Two (2) years of experience working in law enforcement.
Three (3) years of experience working in a call center.
Five (5) years of experience working in customer service.
Possess a DD214 with 2 years service minimum in a command center or GSOC environment.
Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Homeland Security, Information Technology, or related field.
Work Environment and Schedule
Job operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors.
Position requires prolonged standing and walking in the performance of daily security activities.
Open availability nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as directed.
Work various shifts and holidays as assigned.
