Overview In support of the acute care facilities, this role partners with leadership to provide focused oversight for developing, implementing, and evaluating credential processes to assure accurate and timely completion of medical staff applications for appointments, reappointments, and temporary appointments to the Region. The Supervisor trains and supervises staff and consultants, and provides professional support to Region Credentialing Coordinators, Physician Leaders, and Facility Administrators to assure compliance with the required regulations for each accrediting body.
Schedule & Remote This is a fully remote, full‑time position (1.0 FTE). It requires a flexible schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Alaska time, with occasional additional support outside regular hours as needed. Remote work is available for employees residing in Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
Required Qualifications
Upon hire: CPCS or CPMSM certification through NAMSS
5 years of executive/administrative level work within a medical staff office
2 years supervisory or lead experience
2 years experience with setup, reporting, and database management tools (ASM/MD staff or similar credentialing software)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration or a similar field
