The Product Manager – Sanitaire Floorcare is a critical role within BISSELL’s fast-growing Commercial Floorcare business. This position offers the opportunity to lead strategic brand, product, and channel initiatives for one of the most respected names in commercial cleaning equipment.

The Product Manager will own the strategy, performance, and commercial execution of the Sanitaire Floorcare category. This includes driving product innovation, leading cross‑functional project teams, managing channel strategies, interpreting market insights, and delivering profitable portfolio growth.

This role is ideal for a marketer with 4‑6 years of experience who is ready to take full ownership of a category, influence business decisions, and collaborate broadly across Sales, Product Development, Finance, Engineering, and Operations. The Product Manager ensures that Sanitaire delivers exceptional value to distributors, end users, and commercial cleaning professionals.

Responsibilities

Category Leadership:

Lead the strategic planning and day‑to‑day management of the Sanitaire Floorcare portfolio, including product life cycle, pricing, channel strategy, and in‑market performance.

Product & Innovation Management:

Drive product roadmap execution by partnering with BHI category leaders, engineering, and cross‑functional stakeholders to bring new floorcare solutions to market on time and on budget.

Commercial Strategy Execution:

Develop and execute marketing, merchandising, and promotional programs that strengthen brand position and accelerate growth within janitorial‑sanitation distribution, e‑commerce, and other commercial channels.

Business & Market Insights:

Analyze sales, market, and competitive data to identify trends, recommend actions, and support strategic decision‑making across product and commercial teams.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

Serve as the primary business owner for the brand, aligning Sales, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Communications around business objectives and commercial priorities.

Customer & Distributor Engagement:

Support key account initiatives, develop customer‑facing materials, and participate in customer conversations to strengthen partnerships and brand adoption.

Financial Stewardship:

Manage category‑level budgets, contribute to annual planning, and drive initiatives to meet revenue, margin, and profitability goals.

Marketing Asset Development:

Oversee creation of product collateral, digital assets, training materials, and sales tools to ensure consistent messaging and a strong commercial presence.

Competitive Intelligence:

Continuously track market trends and competitive activity to inform product positioning, claims, line strategies, and innovation needs.

Operational Excellence:

Lead business reporting, track KPIs, manage timelines, and ensure accountability and follow‑through across all category initiatives.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.

Experience: 4–6 years in commercial product management or other relevant experience including marketing, sales, engineering, project management etc.

Strong track record driving profitable growth through product development in complex, multi‑layered (B2B) sales channels.

Proven success leading cross‑functional teams and managing complex projects.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, uncover insights, and tell a compelling business story.

Demonstrated capability in developing product line extensions, commercial programs, and go‑to‑market plans.

Strong project management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Demonstrated success presenting product launch strategies and data‑driven business cases to leadership to secure approval and drive market‑ready execution.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Attend trade shows, end‑user prototype testing sessions, and support pilots as needed.

Travel up to 25% to domestic and international sites.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Ability to lead and influence without direct authority.

High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Ability to translate data into actionable strategies and recommendations.

Strong cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
