Salary The annual salary for this position ranges from $75,000 - $95,000 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting annual salary within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.
Summary The Business Development Analyst is positioned at the intersection of strategic marketing and the commercial sales team, responsible for identifying and targeting new key strategic customer accounts and building strong long‑term relationships with internal & external stakeholders, while driving sustainable financial growth through increasing sales. This role will develop and build a robust pipeline of opportunities to drive revenue and new market initiatives for Signode.
Essential Functions
Partner with Marketing and Product management to establish strategic account development, aimed at profiling & targeting focused market segments and customers
Develop and qualify new customer leads; manage pipeline of opportunities and provide regular updates to sales leadership
Manage and respond to inbound leads generated by marketing efforts.
Hunts for new leads and opportunities from a list of target accounts
Engages target accounts to validate opportunity levels and fit
Incorporate feedback from sales resources to review and revise qualification criteria over time
Use Signode's sales tools and methodology to effectively manage prospect and opportunity data
Coordinates initial introduction and hands off to Sales to engage the customer
Partner with sales teams to establish and execute customer profiling methodology and best practices
Development and maintain an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition.
Research the industry's trends, competitors, and opportunities to develop tactical strategies to strengthen product & service offerings.
Support sales teams and customer service with customer intel. Including customer trends, buying patterns and deviations
Using data analytics to identify trends and opportunities to improve sales productivity
Work closely with regional sales leaders to drive new, data‑driven, business opportunities
Support sales leadership with projects and tasks as needed
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science / Data Analytics, business, management or marketing
4+ years of business development, customer analytics, sales or related experience
Ability to analyze data and sales statistics to forecast and translate results into better solutions
Excellent grasp of brand building and articulation of value propositions
Advanced working experience with PowerBI
Advanced MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
Advanced CRM skills, Microsoft D365 preferred
Ability to deliver presentations
Knowledge of ERP Systems or Sales Management Software is a plus
