CDM Smith is seeking a Client Service Leader to lead our transit practice in Washington state as part of the Transportation West Group.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of a business strategy for the increase of sales with our existing clients and developing new clients across the greater Seattle region.
Oversee all aspects of transportation transit planning, design, construction management and program management services with technical specialties including rail planning/design, bus planning/design, environmental engineering, SEPA/NEPA, station planning/design and other related services.
Lead the business development activities, oversee overall client service, represent CDM Smith on transportation transit related boards or organizations, and serve as a leader in your office and throughout the organization.
Develop new business and maintain high-value relationships with transit clients for services in the WA markets and elsewhere.
Develop and manage client teams that include project managers, technical specialists, national leaders, and junior staff to develop strategic capture plans, proposal efforts, presentations, and other business development activities.
Serve as a key member of our strategy team promoting growth in the WA area as well as supporting other West Group growth initiatives.
Serve as a technical or project lead as needed on projects of significant size and strategic importance.
Be active in professional societies in which clients or potential clients are members.
Be a strong leader internally and externally.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
12 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in transportation, engineering, or related field of study.
PE, AICP, or other transportation related certifications.
Transit engineering or planning experience at an engineering consulting firm in the WA market, including project work and business development experience with state, county, and municipal transit agencies in WA, e.g., Sound Transit, SDOT, King County Metro.
Excellent communication, networking, and team building skills.
Travel 10%
