Retailer Merchandising Manager – Role Summary

Establishes and consistently maintains a unique Subaru retail facility standard for the promotion and sale of brand‑focused merchandise and accessories that support sales, the customer experience, and Subaru's long‑term retention goals. Develops Subaru retail merchandising strategies while collaborating with Parts, Marketing and Sales. Empowers Subaru retailers, field teams and distributor partners with assets, tools and training to promote and sell brand‑focused merchandise. Leads vendor partner relationships to ensure retail space design and asset development and manages the Merchandising Specialist to maximize accessory and merchandise sales efficiency through retail fixtures and displays. Core Responsibilities

Lead and own the development and execution of Subaru's merchandising strategy for retail accessories and gear to maximize sales, communicating the strategy to SOA departments, field teams and vendor partners. Direct Subaru facility design partner and fixture vendors, onboarding vendors, supporting contract negotiations, and managing retail facility design with plan‑ograms. Create and maintain accessory and gear inventory in collaboration with SOA and Subaru Corporation marketing and parts departments, establishing retailer‑specific strategies for seasonality and trends. Produce an introduction presentation and a retail manual for SOA field, distributor partners and retailers, covering display recommendations, ordering processes, theft‑prevention strategies and customer interaction skills. Develop and maintain in‑store processes for accessory and merchandise display and customer interaction skills, guiding training and field teams. Additional Responsibilities

Monitor consumer trends and product sales results for future product development and report findings to impacted departments. Counsel field and retailer training efforts with presentations and materials. Lead the career development of the Merchandising Specialist through delegation and supervision. Required Skills & Qualifications

Analyze data to make recommendations based on experience and empirical evidence. Present relevant information to small and medium groups. Collaborate on and lead merchandising and sales strategies with Parts, Marketing, Training and Subaru Corporation. Make informed accessory and gear merchandising recommendations for retail operations. Direct, oversee and hold accountable multiple vendor partners. Understand sales and inventory figures and develop strategies based on them. Excellent organization and time management skills; handle multiple priorities. Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 8–10 years leading the creation and development of retail merchandising strategies, including plan‑ogram creation, customer interaction skills and display placement. Preferred: 2–4 years in the automotive industry. Work Environment

Office Location: Camden, NJ (Greater Philadelphia Area). Hybrid Role – remote work 2 days per week (after 90 days) Wednesdays & Fridays. Driver's License Required – valid license and risk‑management approval to operate company vehicles; must be able to drive manual transmission vehicles. Travel Required: 40% Compensation

The recruiting base salary range for this full‑time position is $111,500–$160,000 per year. The role is bonus‑eligible with a target bonus percentage based on performance. (Internal Job Grade: M2) Benefits
