About the Role This position supports multiple indirect categories/projects for specific sites in a region, working cross‑functionally with Marketing & Events, Professional Business Services, Real Estate, and more. The role partners with regional and global category management to implement strategies and ensure compliance with preferred supply base and purchasing channels. Responsibilities include managing costs, quality, delivery, and supplier relationships at the local level.
Scope Responsible for supporting indirect categories/projects for multiple sites within a region, collaborating with various functions, and ensuring successful implementation of global or regional strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Implement global and regional category strategies, projects, objectives, processes, methods, and policies across sites.
Manage local spend up to $250k per request; refer larger amounts to the Regional Sourcing Leader.
Drive compliance to the preferred supply base and purchasing channels to realize savings targets.
Identify savings potentials and run procurement initiatives, supporting forecasting and savings reporting.
Maintain supplier relationships at the local level in cooperation with regional procurement teams.
Manage escalations from internal stakeholders.
Accountabilities
First point of contact for internal stakeholders on site.
Support implementation of global and regional procurement initiatives.
Support regional RFPs and tactical buying for indirect materials & services.
Ensure delivery of indirect materials and services on time, within agreed cost and quality.
Collaborate with COE team to implement procurement processes & compliance requirements across sites.
Coordinate supplier selection and relationship management locally.
Integrate procurement strategies across sites and educate stakeholders.
Track procurement targets in alignment with global/regional goals (cost, savings, supplier quality).
Provide regular updates to Regional Sourcing Leaders & GCMs on cost‑saving activities.
Negotiate and create contracts/SOWs for local/site‑specific requirements.
Support SOX and other auditing preparations, ensuring data protection compliance.
Typical Background Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
Experience:
3–5 years professional experience in purchasing (desired).
