Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is comprised of over 120 exceptionally skilled and experienced radiologists who provide professional radiology interpretation services to hospitals, surgery centers and private physician practices across Colorado and Hawaii; they also provide those services to our joint-ventured outpatient imaging system, Invision Sally Jobe, which consists of 11 imaging centers in the Denver metro area.
Almost all of our radiologists are fellowship-trained in their field of specialty, some are double-fellowship trained, and many hold Certificates of Additional Qualifications. Our radiologists have studied and trained at some of the most prestigious educational and healthcare institutions in the nation, and our interventional radiologists perform some of the most cutting-edge treatments available today. Their dedication to patient care, which is at the core of everything we do, is second to none!
Summary of Position:
The Medical Assistant (MA) Responsibilities will include directing workflow, triaging questions/concerns, rooming patients and communicating with providers, and assisting with other duties as outlined below. As part of the RIA Neurovascular team you represent this practice. All comments, attitudes, actions and behaviors have a direct effect on the facilities image and of quality service. Interaction with patients, physicians, referral sources, co-worker must be in manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative and professional.

Compensation is between $20.00 to $26.00 per hour depending on qualifications
In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associates reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position will receive applications on an ongoing basis, and will remain open until filled.

Job Responsibilities:
- Direct workflow for RIA Neurovascular Clinic
- Prepares patients to be seen by Physician, NP, or PA by bringing patient to clinic room and recording initial concerns.
- Responsible for documenting vital signs to include blood pressures, pulse ox, heart rate, and temperature, height and weight.
- Contact referring physician offices to obtain records and coordinate care.
- Prepares and organizes all paperwork and previous exams/reports for the Radiologist prior to patient's appointment.
- Documents patient's medical information, including medical history and other pertinent information into patients Electronic Medical Record.
- Coordinate proper and complete scheduling of same-day add-on patients, including obtaining all necessary information on short notice.
- Collaborate with staff/radiologists, referring physician offices, and patients in order to identify and correct patient-related issues.
- Responsible for front desk duties, including scheduling, answering phones, greeting patients, and processing insurance and intake paperwork.
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with patients, patient family member, co-workers and providers.
- Create and modify forms as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
- All other duties, as assigned by clinic lead / office manager.

Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to effectively communicate with internal staff/radiologists, referring physician offices, and patients
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Medical terminology and scheduling experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Team player
- Organized and detail oriented
- Computer skills and knowledge
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Must be dependable, flexible and reliable
- High School Diploma or GED
- MA certificate required
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Must be able to read, write, and speak in English
