Job description: Location: Windermere, FL Company: Celtic Engineering, Inc. Celtic Engineering, Inc., a leader in structural and specialty engineering for the entertainment, hospitality, and aerospace industries, is hiring a Structural Engineer I for our Windermere, FL office. This role is ideal for an early-career civil/structural engineer eager to build technical expertise while gaining increasing responsibility. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, receive mentorship, and contribute to diverse projects with opportunities to grow into senior technical or project management roles. What You’ll Do Assist with analysis and design of members, connections, and systems for gravity and lateral loads. Apply Florida Building Code, IBC-style codes, and standards including ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318. Work with steel, concrete, timber, and masonry. Perform engineering calculations and support use of structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, RISA3D). Contribute to structural drawings, sketches, reports, and BIM models (Revit). Support construction administration by preparing site observation reports and assisting senior engineers during construction activities. Perform inspections and condition assessments of existing structures, across all shifts as needed, and prepare documentation of findings. Assist Engineers of Record (EORs) and project managers with evaluations and QA/QC reviews. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required). Master’s degree with a structural emphasis (preferred). Familiarity with IBC-style codes and U.S. national standards. Exposure to structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, RISA3D preferred). Knowledge of BIM tools (Revit preferred). Engineer Intern (EI) certification (preferred). Strong problem-solving skills with critical thinking, initiative, and clear communication.
