Sterile Processing Technician Location: Westfield, IN Setting: Surgery Center Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable
Sterile Processing Technician
to support instrument sterilization and equipment preparation for a busy surgery center. In this role, you will play a critical part in patient safety and surgical readiness by ensuring all surgical instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained according to industry and facility standards. Key Responsibilities: Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment in accordance with protocols
Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of instrument trays and sterilization logs
Ensure proper storage and handling of sterile supplies
Follow infection control and OSHA guidelines at all times
Collaborate with OR staff to ensure timely instrument turnaround
Report missing or damaged instruments and assist with replacements
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program or certification preferred (CRCST, CSPDT)
Previous experience in a sterile processing role, preferably in an ASC or hospital setting
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift instrument trays as needed
Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
