Responsibilities
Ensures adherence to established standards and may consult with senior managers on technology solutions. Consults with project teams and functional units on the design of important projects or services. Supports existing business systems applications. Performs additional job duties as required.
Job Specific Needs & Responsibilities
- Knowledge in CICS, COBOL & DB2. Assembler knowledge is a plus.
- Intertest experience is a significant advantage. Expert in multiple languages and tools.
- Credit/Debit or Financial knowledge. Should be a quick learner, detail-oriented, and a multitasker.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment. Possesses strong knowledge of application development technologies, tools, methodologies, and all functional areas in IT.
- Should be able to support production and be available for on-call support as needed.
- Enhances team accomplishments by planning solutions, mentoring, and teaching improved processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Expertise in multiple languages and tools. Knowledge of emerging technologies is a plus.
- Strong understanding of how technology supports business needs.
- Understanding of complex internal business processes.
- Experience working on moderate to complex projects independently.
- Ability to recommend strategies for system improvements and to coach less experienced staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of related IT experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience.
