PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Divisional Corporate Relations Director is a key member of the Community Relations and Development team, responsible for advancing The Salvation Army's mission through volunteerism, civic engagement, and community partnerships, leading to strategic growth. This position spearheads initiatives to increase visibility, foster meaningful connections with community stakeholders, and support local corps and programs through volunteer and civic outreach strategies. The Director provides guidance and oversight to the Divisional Volunteer Coordinator and collaborates across departments to inspire public support and strategic leadership for The Salvation Army's programs. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree required 4+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with success engaging corporations, or previous experience within a corporation as part of the fundraising executive team Support and reflect The Salvation Army's mission and values professionally and personally Experience with nonprofit boards Knowledge of the local corporate community Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and presentation skills, demonstrating emotional intelligence, effective writing, and strong case development skills Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including executives, volunteers, donors, and internal staff Problem-solving skills, strategic and creative thinking, initiative, and follow-through Team-oriented, capable of collaborating with officers, staff, and volunteers Willingness and ability to travel regularly Valid Arizona Driver's License Ability to pass The Salvation Army Fleet Safety E-learning Proficiency in Microsoft Office, donor management software, and email applications Ability to work independently, organize effectively, and manage multiple projects Goal-oriented with a drive to achieve objectives within deadlines Ability to pass a criminal background check
RESPONSIBILITIES: Build relationships with top executives and corporate partners in the Southwest Division, presenting Salvation Army programs and mission Identify and match institutional needs with potential corporate benefactors Research and facilitate volunteer programs with corporations Develop strategies to promote Salvation Army programs to corporations Secure Gifts-in-Kind and monetary donations from corporate partners Collaborate with the Foundations Department for funding opportunities Coordinate with Territorial Headquarters' Corporate Relations department Attend and contribute to monthly virtual corporate relations meetings Conduct tours, presentations, and reports to various stakeholders Maintain and update a database of corporate contacts and partnerships Steward relationships through various communication channels Identify potential advisory board members among corporate executives Leverage existing contacts to strengthen relationships and increase giving Highlight corporate philanthropic partnerships and create collateral materials Encourage corporate participation in events and fundraisers Deploy corporate volunteers at service and fundraising events Coordinate PR and social media campaigns with partners Enhance Christmas Kettles with corporate sponsorship and volunteers Explore additional fundraising opportunities with corporations Supervise and support the Divisional Volunteer Coordinator Partner with officers and staff to assess and support volunteer needs Support divisional campaigns and events with volunteer and community engagement Track and report engagement metrics and outcomes Represent The Salvation Army at community events and coalitions Perform other duties as assigned by the Divisional Development Director
