Job Summary Assembler/Tester responsible for assembling parts according to process sheet/print instructions, performing electrical, mechanical, and magnetic testing, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Assemble parts according to process sheet/print instructions. Perform electrical, mechanical, magnetic testing as required (e.g., dielectric, megger, hipot). Perform in-process hi‑pot testing; set up basic fixtures. Perform vapor blasting as required; conduct inventory counts and verification. Assist with prototype or first‑time builds with guidance from senior employees. Assist Engineering and/or Team in developing/improving layout procedures and process sheets. Review expiration dates of materials and equipment to ensure all are current. Work proactively to improve efficiency and quality of products. Possess inspection stamp as required. Cross‑train other employees as needed based on knowledge and experience. Comply with all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation. Perform basic Oracle transactions as required. Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach. Keep shift operators informed of special problems involving operation or setup. Communicate with team to ensure all members are aware of new processes and/or issues. May interact with internal cross‑functional teams (e.g., planning). May act as primary contact for auditors. May require FAA certification. Perform troubleshooting responsibilities. Participate in and support team initiatives. Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures. Understand and abide by the GE Leadership behaviors. Other duties as required. Basic Qualifications High School Education or GED equivalency. 1 year manufacturing experience. Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation. Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.) and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.). Ability and willingness to operate high temperature ovens and furnaces. Ability and willingness to pass Visual Acuity Exam as necessary. Ability and willingness to obtain Solder, Braze, and Electro‑Static discharge certification as required. Desired Qualifications 1-3 years manufacturing experience. Assembly, soldering, or electronics manufacturing experience. Experience in a self‑directed teaming environment. Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing. Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision‑maker, collaborative. Problem‑solver: analytical, critical thinker, challenges existing processes. Ability to use Microsoft applications to analyze data (e.g., Word, Excel, Oracle). Humble, transparent, focused. Physical Demands Continuous use of hands and fingers in repetition. Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, squatting, climbing, and/or balancing. Continuous sitting; lifting to 20 lbs.; pushing/pulling up to 22 lbs. Compensation and Benefits Pay: $20/hour. Annual discretionary bonus: based on a percentage of base salary.
