Woodland Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning is a growing company. We do a lot of new construction work and we have many forced air systems coming up with a number of preferred builders. We are seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Installer to join our team. This role involves primarily installing forced air heating systems for new construction homes and home additions. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with HVAC design and schematics, and a solid background in HVAC construction both for residential homes and commercial work. A valid driver’s license is required to facilitate travel between job sites and transporting equipment and material. This is a full-time position committed to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform work with professionalism that represents Woodland Plumbing and Heating in the community. This includes being on time and treating others, both from our company of other contractors on the job sites, with respect. Install new HVAC systems from start to finish including furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioning units, and ventilation equipment according to manufacturer specifications and schematics Perform system upgrades, repairs, and maintenance on existing HVAC units in residential settings Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate installation Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems, including refrigerant lines and drainage systems Repair refrigeration components and ammonia refrigeration systems as needed Utilize welding skills for custom fabrication or repair of HVAC components Ensure all installations comply with local codes, safety standards, and industry best practices Maintain clean work areas and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times Requirements Proven experience in HVAC installation, service technician roles, or related construction fields Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and property maintenance Ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair, appliance repair, welding, and general maintenance Familiarity with plumbing connections associated with HVAC systems Experience working with field service operations and mechanical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters Strong mechanical knowledge including working with air conditioning units, boilers, and other HVAC equipment Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record issued by the state of Colorado; driver preferred Additional skills such as mechanic experience or property maintenance are advantageous This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about HVAC systems to apply their technical expertise in a dynamic residential environment.
