Be among the first 25 applicants. Machine Assembler – Production Job Description Responsibilities An assembler needs to follow FIFO guidelines when proceeding to their next order. Read and understand the order correctly to start the assembly process (Top to bottom). Start with the external assembly process. Place Knob/lever on worktable. Attach plastic washers and add grease. Place shims, plates, and springs (depending on requested item). Test handle to ensure proper mechanism function; verify that installation is not too tight or loose. Team lead can assist with correct tightness. Add springs/spindles to the handle, making necessary adjustments. Proceed with assembling the inside component (repeat instruction sets 1‑10). Completes Hour‑by‑Hour sheet, recording dates, times, and discrepancies throughout the process (including trainees stepping away from the department). Assists in moving within various departments/jobs/roles to support quick reaction to lead‑time commitments. Maintains a clean workstation throughout entire shift. Keeps only the product needed on the workstation. Refills individual and shared bins. Department Cleanliness Maintain a clean workstation throughout the entire shift. Keep only the product needed.
