Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Clinical Instructors interested in teaching students in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program studying at our Indianapolis campus. #on-site You will mentor students in person at inpatient clinical settings in the Indianapolis area. Required commitment is one 12-hour shift per week for each 8-week session at one of our clinical partner sites. Candidates with a completed MSN are encouraged to apply - Teaching experience is not required! We are currently accepting applications to meet potential future needs in the following areas of specialization: Adult Health I & II (Med-Surg) Advanced Adult Health (Med-Surg) Complex Health (Critical Care) Community Health Capstone Final Practicum Fundamentals Maternal Child Mental Health Pediatrics Responsibilities include: Implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession. Assuming responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads. Planning clinical experiences and providing supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering care to individuals or groups. Being available to staff at clinical agencies. Evaluating and providing feedback to students on their performance based on course objectives. Providing remediation for students as needed. Orienting and maintaining current knowledge of agency/clinical policies and procedures. Developing and posting clinical assignments tailored to students' knowledge and skills. Providing timely feedback on homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork. Contributing to program development, implementation, and evaluation. Potentially teaching didactic content under supervision. Keeping the course coordinator informed of student and agency issues. Collaborating with administration and faculty to improve operations and student satisfaction. Participating in assessment programs, retention efforts, and policy adherence. Serving as a professional role model in customer service, collaboration, communication, professionalism, and appearance. Using relationship skills for problem-solving and negotiation. Complying with regulatory rules and standards. Reporting to the dean or assistant dean, with oversight from a course coordinator. Performing related duties as assigned and complying with all policies. Qualifications Master's in Nursing (MSN) or doctoral degree (DNP/PhD) in nursing from a regionally accredited institution. Unencumbered Indiana nursing license. Active BLS Certification. At least three years of professional nursing instruction experience within the last five years. Additional Information Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Campus: Expected compensation ranges from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as course type, experience, location, licensure, market, budget, and responsibilities.
