Manufacturing Engineering Technician at Q-Lab Corporation Description Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering, this position would be responsible for fabricating, building, and wiring electro‑mechanical test fixtures for Q‑Lab manufacturing. Responsibilities Fabricate, build, and wire electro‑mechanical test fixtures for Q‑Lab manufacturing Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and manufacturing teams on tooling designs Research, recommend, and source components (timers, switches, relays, wire) needed to build custom fixtures and tools Troubleshoot electrical and controls of existing custom machines, fixtures, and factory equipment Work with facility electricians to install electrical services for manufacturing equipment Document designs to help CAD department complete engineering drawings Self‑design electrical systems with little design input from engineering Required Skills Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or relevant work experience 10+ years of work experience in electrical and/or mechanical device manufacturing Experience with industrial wiring methods and design Experience with Microsoft Office software Basic fabrication and machine‑shop skills Desired Skills Industrial facilities electrical systems Laser, TIG and MIG welding skills Programming and operation of CNC sheet metal fabrication machinery Electrical PCB soldering and assembly PLC programming (Click, Siemens, Campbell Scientific) Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Management and Manufacturing Industries Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Who We Are Q‑Lab Corporation is a global leader in providing material durability testing products.
