CHAOS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team supporting our product engineering. This is a highly collaborative role which will allow you to wear multiple hats and work very closely with our product. As a member of our engineering team, you will also have the opportunity to expand your skillset across our product line. A key aspect of this role will be leveraging Palantir Foundry as CHAOS\'s internal data operating platform - building, maintaining, and optimizing end-to-end workflows and pipelines that manage sensor, operational, and enterprise data across the company. You will work across teams to ensure our data infrastructure and workflows are reliable, scalable, and directly enable mission outcomes. This role will be central to delivering the CHAOS Operating System in Foundry - a unified data backbone that connects engineering, operations, and manufacturing. Responsibilities

Design and build Foundry-based pipelines and workflows, enabling ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data for both engineering and operational users Define major parts of our data and backend architecture, including choice of frameworks and systems Build and maintain our data infrastructure, real-time data processing, data transportation, and backend services Collaborate closely with product, system, software, and hardware engineers to integrate data flows into mission workflows Mentor other engineers as the team grows, and work with engineering leadership to define longer term roadmaps Work 3+ days per week out of our office in San Francisco (Market Street) or Los Angeles (Hawthorne) Minimum of 2+ years of experience in professional, object-oriented software development Experience with Python, SQL data warehouses, and no-SQL systems Experience building, testing, and supporting major systems in production Experience building or maintaining data pipelines or workflows in Palantir Foundry or other enterprise data platforms Preferred Requirements

Experience with Palantir Foundry Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms Experience with 2D and 3D Visualization ideally in defense use cases Experience with additional frameworks such as React Why CHAOS?

$130,000 - $220,000 The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits.
