About the role Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who produce must‑have insights, market predictions and best practices for leading organizations. A Senior Director in Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group establishes credibility at local, regional and global levels, providing pragmatic and provocative insights that clients use to achieve key business objectives. The role involves engaging clients through virtual and in‑person meetings, sales support visits, and conferences to discuss complex challenges and offer tailored recommendations.
What you’ll do
Create innovative, thought‑provoking “must‑have insights” content.
Develop new insights and ideas through thought leadership, offering actionable strategies that accelerate client success.
Present independent insights to Gartner leaders, influencing research agendas.
Research, analyze and predict market trends to provide actionable insights for clients and vendors.
Provide executives and prospects with aligned advice via virtual or face‑to‑face interactions.
Deliver high‑value presentation materials for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings.
Review high‑quality content in a timely manner.
Build credibility as an industry expert to represent Gartner insights, methodology, and strategy.
Collaborate with peers in innovation, ideation, and research discussions within the Insights community.
Identify and develop research process improvements.
Mentor and coach junior team members.
Drive client engagement and ensure regular interaction with Gartner insights.
What you will need
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred.
12+ years of relevant field or industry experience.
Hands‑on experience leading or directing enterprise architecture activities within a corporate setting; direct reporting line to CIO/CTO or similar desired.
Technical expertise in one or more architecture domains (AI, data, applications, infrastructure, etc.).
Ability to connect technical expertise with C‑level strategy and guidance.
Executive presence and credibility with senior stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills, ability to meet tight deadlines and produce high‑quality deliverables.
Excellence in research, writing, and analytical presentation skills.
Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data, applying patterns and frameworks to defend conclusions.
Business and financial acumen.
Independent work ethic with strong collaboration in multicultural, matrixed global teams.
Representation of Gartner’s research methodology at all levels.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable).
