A nursing opportunity is available for an RN with expertise in post-anesthesia care (PACU) to support recovery room operations at a downtown hospital. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in an acute care setting, requiring strong clinical skills and critical care experience. Key Qualifications: Current New York State RN registration Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) with ability to recertify At least 2 years recent acute care experience within the past 2 years at a similar or larger facility Experience in inpatient PACU and critical care settings required Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills No history of license or certification suspension, professional liability claims, or investigations Legal right to work in the U.S., successful completion of health clearance, drug screening, and background check Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and care to patients in the post-anesthesia recovery unit Perform majority of patient care skills with minimal orientation and supervision in an acute care specialty setting Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of patient safety and recovery Schedule: 13-week contract 6 shifts of 12 hours each over two weeks Scheduled hours: 07:00 to 19:30 and 11:00 to 23:30 Every other weekend required, no on-call duties This contract role offers a focused clinical experience in a fast-paced hospital environment.
