Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is ideal for registered nurses with experience in emergency care looking to apply their skills in a dynamic clinical environment. Practicing independently and managing complex patient needs, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care within the emergency department setting. This full-time contract position offers multiple shifts, allowing flexibility to suit your schedule, including blocked scheduling accommodations. Key Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment efficacy Support patients and families by addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, and providing education when appropriate Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and promptly Make appropriate clinical assignments and delegate tasks, effectively managing the care environment Qualifications and Experience: Current RN license in the state of employment or through the nurse licensure compact Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association Minimum of one years emergency nursing experience preferred; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Successful completion of new hire orientation and competency validations as required for emergency department practice Shift Details: Multiple shifts available with weekend and on-call responsibilities on a rotational basis Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4-5, with minimal floating expected About Alamogordo, NM:Alamogordo is a welcoming community known for its scenic beauty and close proximity to outdoor recreational opportunities.
